PANTHERS DAY
Panthers Day: games, books, movies and a round of applause

Parma, March 21, 2011 – The Panthers day began at 9 a.m. in the Cinema of the Barilla Center, where some pupils watched the movie "Any given Sunday" by Oliver Stone. Then the students asked some question about the football to the American players: David Moosman, Nate Lyles, Jaycen Taylor and Tanyon Bissell.
Later, at 3 p.m., in the book store "la Feltrinelli", Fausto Batella presented his book: "Jack Kerouac. Halfback". The moderator of the event was Roberto Gotta, a famous sports commentator of Rai Sport. "The text", said the author, "is dedicated to Jack Kerouac, a great American football player in college. In a match, Jack injured himself and gave up the activity. Then he became the father of the beatnik". "The football", continued Batella, "has been the passport of his second life, the literature".
At 4 p.m. took place many more activities: there was a Play Station corner, an area where the people could throw the ball and there was the team mascot that gave away balloons to children.
Finally, at 6 p.m., the new sport season of Parma Panthers began. The event has been presented by Monica Bertini, a journalist of Tv Parma. On the stage there were a couple of city councillorls, Panthers president Ivano Tira, and the team mascot "Panti". After the president's declaration, Monica Bertini presented the team: the staff, with coaches Papoccia, Tharp, Moosman, Perdoni and Borchini, then the defense and the offense.
