Good start for the Panthers, defeating 49 to 29 the Lions in the first game of the 2010 season.
Bolzano, March 14, 2010 – Great win in the week 1 game for the Panthers against the Bergamo Lions, one of the team most accredited for the championship.
QB Joe Craddock was almost perfect for the whole game, hitting WR McIntyre for 2 TD passes and rookie WR Diaferia for another one.
Greg Hay, the third american player, added 3 more TDs, showing a lot of heart playing both in offense and in defense.
WR/CB McIntyre was back in the DB position for a couple of drives, recording one of the game changing plays. With a great read, "Big Play" McIntyre jumped the WR route and picked off former NFLer Bradlee Van Pelt, returning the interception for 6 points.
Good game for the rookie players too: WR Diaferia, TE Bergonzani, DL Musi, RB Malpeli Avalli and CB Vasini played their first IFL game, after being promoted in the senior team from the Under 21.
