Interview with Giovanni Rossi, Quarterback Coach of the Under 19 Italian National Team

Giovanni Rossi has been involved in the football for more than 15 years: as player and now as QB coach of the Panthers Under 21 team. Last December his team won the Championship and now he has just reached another success, being selected as QB coach for the Under 21 Italian National Team.

"Gio" what do you think about your first experience in the National Team Coaching Staff?
It has been interesting to compare so many young players from all over Italy: we scouted more than 200 players. Our youth movement is growing very fast.

Did you expected to be selected as Quarterback Coach for the National Team?
Not at all. I think that people overrated my skill. I've been lucky: being in a competitive team like the Panthers, with so many good players and coaches, surely helped me.

What about the QB level in Italy?
Quarterback is the more difficult position to play and we are working with 17-18 years old players, so they can't obviously have all the experience they would need.
