EFAF CUP: PANTHERS AT BRONCOS 43 - 27

The Panthers, already eliminated from the EFAF Cup, won their last european game

Parma, May 18, 2009 - The Panthers are back. After 3 straight loss, Parma won its last game in the EFAF Cup, 43-27 against the Calanda Broncos. Even if this victory didn't affect the standing (the Thonon Black Panthers had already clinched the only play-off spot available), it's important because Parma finally showed some great football and a lot of heart.

TE Matthew Perdoni opened the score for the Panthers, catching a 10 yd pass from Joe Craddock.
WR Craig McIntyre had a monster game: both in offense and defense. 2 TDs for him: a 9 yd reception and an amazing 92 yd interception return.
Coach Papoccia, as usual when he has the chance to play, was outstanding, scoring 2 TDs: the first one with a 9 yd catch and the second after a long 50 yd run.
HB/LB Ryan Tully added one more TD, with a 43 yd run: it was his 8th TD in 8 games.
QB Joe Craddock was back to his standard, being almost perfect and throwing 3 TD passes.

"In the second half" - said WR Ugo Bonvicini - "we could had scored 3 more TDs. Anyway we played a good game, especially with our Defense and Special Teams, which gave good field position to our Offense".

Now the Panthers will have to focus on Saturday game in Bologna: the last chance to reach the IFL play-offs. "Saturday evening" - added Bonvicini - "will be our last regular season game and we must win: a victory means play-offs".
