Parma, 25 febbraio 2023 – Approcciando l'inizio della stagione di Italian Football League abbiamo incontrato l’Head Coach dei Parma Panthers, Bruno Michitti, per una piccola intervista:

Ciao Brian, dopo qualche settimana nella posizione di nuovo capo allenatore dei Parma Panthers, puoi dirci quali sono le tue impressioni ad ora?
Sono soddisfatto di quanto fatto fin’ora. Abbiamo ancora tanto lavoro da fare, ma i nostri ragazzi imparano in fretta. Abbiamo degli import grandiosi e entusiasti ed un grande coaching staff. Dobbiamo ancora trovare la nostra identità per il 2023, ma ho buoni presentimenti sulla direzione che stiamo prendendo.

Cosa ti ha portato ad accettare l'offerta di venire a Parma?
Un messaggio e una rapida chiaccherata con il presidente Ugo Bonvicini. So che questa è una grande organizazzione con tanti grandi giocatori con buona personalità.

Ricoprirai anche la posizione di Defensive Coordinator e Parma è conosciuta per aver mostrato un'ottima difesa negli ultimi anni; qual è il tuo punto di vista a riguardo?
Sono compiaciuto di come i ragazzi abbiano imparato così velocemente la mia difesa. Può sembrare complicata all'inizio, ma comprendono tutto il da farsi in fretta. Abbiamo ancora qualcosa da inserire ma sta arrivando il momento di premere sull'acceleratore in modo da poter giocare in maniera più istintiva. Ci stiamo arrivando è questi ragazzi mi stanno dando tanta sicurezza in questo.

Cosa ti aspetti dalla prossima stagione e quali sono i tuoi obiettivi?
Abbiamo tanti ragazzi giovani insieme a giocatori d'esperienza. Non è la prima volta che mi capita quindi il mio obiettivo primario e portare questi ragazzi insieme come un'unica squadra. Vorrei continuare a costruire la cultura vincente presente a Parma, ma è più facile a dirsi che a farsi. Manca ancora un po' di duro lavoro e sacrificio per raggiungere quell'obiettivo, la vittoria il giorno della partita è il risultato del duro lavoro e dell'atteggiamento che investiamo durante la settimana. Il mio obiettivo sarà arrivare ai playoff e oltre al picco della forma.

Getting closer to IFL season start we encounter the new Head Coach Bruno Michitti and have a small interview with him:

Hello Brian, after couple of weeks being the new head coach of Parma Panthers can you tell us about your feelings right now?
I am happy with where we are. We still have a lot of work to do, but our guys are learning fast. We have great and enthusiastic imports and a great team of coaches. We still need to find our 2023 Panthers identity, but I have a good feeling about the direction we are going.

What did it bring you to accept this position?
One text and a quick discussion with Ugo Bonvicini. I know that this is a great organization and I know that it has a lot of great players with great character.

You are going to cover also the position of defensive cordinator and Parma is well know to show a good defense in the past few years, what is your point of view on that?
I am really pleased with how fast our guys are learning my defense. It can seem complicated at first, but they are going a great job picking up on everything. We have a few more things to put in and then its time to really turn it on so we just playing instinctively. We will get there and these guys give me a lot of confidence.

What do you expect from the upcoming season and what are your goals?
We have a lot of great young players mixed with some great veterans. I am experienced with this and my first goal is to bring these guys together as one team. I want us to continue building our winning culture. That is easier said than done. A lot of hard work and sacrifice is still left. The WINs on gamedays are a result of the culture we create and the hardwork we put in now and during the week. My goal is to make sure that we are at our peak going into and through the playoffs.
