Parma, 29 ottobre 2022 – I Panthers Parma annunciano Garrett Cox come nuovo Head Coach per la stagione 2023 di Italian Football League, che prende il posto lasciato da Marc Mattioli, e avrà il compito di guidare il team ducale con l'obiettivo di raggiungere la finale di Toledo.
Coach Cox ha intrapreso la carriera da allenatore nel 2006 ed ha fatto parte dei migliori programmi college della NCAA: Georgia, Auburn, Southern Texas, Alabama (con due National Championship vinte e e due perse - la finale NCAA,ndr), Tennessee e Michigan sono alcuni di questi ed oggi è a IMG considerata la miglior accademia di football nel mondo.
Un curriculum così ed aver lavorato con allenatori come Saban, Smart, Aranda, Pruitt, Harbaugh e McDonalds (oggi a Baltimore) la dice lunga sulla volontà dei Panthers di continuare la loro tradizione vincente.

"Devo ringraziare come sempre il nostro angelo custode Kris Durham che dopo Mattioli mi ha suggerito un altro suo caro amico: Coach Cox ed abbiamo subito capito che era quello che ci voleva. E' giovane, entusiasta e non vede l'ora di iniziare, tra un mese verrà a Parma a conoscere la città e subito dopo Natale inizieremo a lavorare per i sei mesi più importanti della nostra storia con un appuntamento a Toledo che non vogliamo di certo mancare!" così ci ha detto il presidente parmigiano Ugo Bonvicini.

The Parma Panthers officially hire Garrett Cox as the new Head Coach for the 2023 season.
He will step in for Mattioli, with one goal in mind: the Italian Bowl in Toledo. Coach Cox began coaching in 2006 and has been coaching in some of the best programs in college football: Georgia, auburn, southern Texas, Alabama (where he won two National Championship and Lost 2 NCAA finals), Tennessee and Michigan among others. He's currently coaching at IMG, considered the best football academy worldwide.
