In the Arena League, the Parma Pantere defeat 34-8 the Ravenna Chiefs and improve their record to 3-0.

Parma, April 26, 2009 - Another great win for Coach Borchini and his Arena Team: 34-8 over the Ravenna Chiefs. With this win, the Pantere improve their record to 3-0.

Despite a rainy day that didn't help the passing game, Parma scored its first 2 TDs with the receptions of Luca Aurilio, taking a 16-0 lead.

For the remainder of the first half the offense had some problems, turning over a couple of times with some errant snaps and fumbles. Late in the second quarter, the Chiefs finally scored, so the teams went to the half time with the Pantere leading 16-8.

In the second half, the Pantere defense stepped up, shutting down the Chiefs. CBs Michele Fumarola and Francesco Diaferia (2nd straight interception for him) and LB Francesco Vasini turned the lights off for Ravenna.

Pantere HB Alessandro "Malpo" Malpeli increased the lead with a remarkable punt return and then with an outstanding run.

With a full control of the game, the Pantere lined up some young players, like QB Francesco Forte and RB Roberto Amadei, who scored the final TD of the game.

Next Sunday, in Ravenna (kick-off at 3:00pm CET), the Chiefs will host the Pantere, trying to have their revenge.
