IFL WEEK 3 PREVIEW

Parma Panthers, after 2 consecutive wins, will face Lazio Marines. Kick-off Sunday, 2:00pm CET.

Marines Lazio are very deep in every position, since they have a lot of players in their roster. In addition, this season they have 3 US players too: QB Nick Eyde (who already played for Bolzano Giants and other european teams), WR Chris Simms and LB Kellen Pruitt (a former Lions Bergamo player).

Last time Panthers met Marines was in 2007 semifinal, when Panthers won in Rome 17-14, with a terrific game by Andrew Papoccia and a Field Goal made by Emanuele Gavesi.

"I think Marines will be an outsider" - said Panthers president Ivano Tira - "We have to maintain focus and concentration if we want to extend our winning streak. We still have to improve some aspects of our game, but this is only week 3. Last weekend, against Bergamo Lions, the team showed a lot of heart and I'm really pleased with that. Every single team with the ambition to become champion will have to square things up with us and with a bunch of players who never give up, even when everything seems to be lost".

Boxscore live starting from 2:00pm CET.
