This saturday, Parma Panthers will face Bergamo Lions, 12 times italian champions.



Week 2 is coming and the Panthers are going to face Bergamo Lions, the IFL champion. Bergamo, the strongest team in the history of italian football, has an impressive championship winning streak of 12 consecutive titles.
Kick-off saturday at 4:00 pm CET.

"Bergamo has a solid organization and very good athletes" - commented Panthers president Ivano Tira "As today, they are the favourite for championship. It's an important game, there is a lot of rivalry between the two teams. But this game is even more important for the Lions, that lost the first game against Bolzano Giants".

The Panthers won only once against the Lions, in 2007 regular season. Then Bergamo take its revenge in the superbowl, defeating Parma in the second over time of what is remembered as the best game ever seen in Italy.

INJURY REPORT:
Safety Alessandro Canali suffered a torn ACL in week1 and is out for the season.
LBs Ryan Tully and Alberto Lanzoni, WR Emanuele Gavesi and FB William Palini are questionable.
